We have now ended bare root shipping for the season. Bare root shipping will begin again sometime around October 2025. We will send out a newletter in September when we update the bare root inventory. Thank you to everyone for a great shipping season! Happy spring/summer :)

Living Soil Tree Farm is a human scale plant nursery focused on food
producing perennials and collaborative plant breeding. Our work is diverse but
we focus on growing bare root trees/shrubs and diverse seed populations. We are
grateful to be able to operate out of our beautiful family farm in Cedar Grove NC on the ancestral
lands of the Mánu: Yį Įsuwą (Catawba), Shakori, Saponi, Cheraw, Occaneechi
peoples. In 2024 we have also begun growing trees at a second site in what is now referred to as Bassett VA. We do our best to provide extremely healthy plants and seeds while using land management techniques which improve the health of our ecosystem.

This spring we are expanding our selection of potted trees and shrubs. Come and see us at farmers markets in the Roanoke area (you can view our market schedule on our social media accounts). We can also offer delivery to Hillsborough NC, Blacksburg VA, and a few other nearby locations. Reach out if you are interested! We plan to update the website with potted plant inventory soon.
